We are capable of change, growth, and healing ourselves. Therapy is a safe space to examine oneself, one’s trauma, and work towards health, healing, and higher functioning. Marah works with individuals who may be navigating issues related to anxiety, depression, life and lifestyle changes, shame, trauma, identity, and insecurity.
Marah’s therapeutic approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-based therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. In working with Marah your care will be collaboratively curated to fit your unique experiences.
Marah is committed to walking with you as we explore the patterns, stories, and struggles that limit you. Therapy is relational and the connection with your therapist is what will have the biggest impact on your healing.
Marah’s education includes a Master of Social Work with a focus on Mental Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She gained crucial skills as a therapist during her master’s-level Clinical Internship at Madison Mental Health Services as a Psychotherapy Intern.
Additionally, Marah has gained valuable insight from her experiences working in end of life care, as well as with children, youth, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In addition, Marah holds a Bachelor of Arts from Luther College where she studied Social Work and Dance. Her study and certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher 100 Level, as well as a dance student, has instilled in Marah a passion for including the body as a key element of understanding and healing.
As a Licensee with the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, Marah abides by the Social Work Code of Ethics.
I have a lot of hobbies, including yoga, meditation, dancing, and journaling. I don’t do all of them everyday, but that’s okay!
My daily commitment includes drinking water, exercising, and being outside.
